Talking 2008 LR2 Fuel Filter - Hello??

Hi guys,

Just thought I would ask the question as I cant seem to find too much info on it. I was thinking of trying to replace my fuel filter as a part of regular maintenance. Can anyone tell me where I might find it on the vehicle?

Oh, just so you know I just bought this 2008 LR2 HSE, so far love it. I have had a Jeep Wrangler JK but didn't use it enough off road so I went for a little more luxury.

I Like to do my own maintenance and look forward to tinkering around this machine. Ill make sure any mods or maintenance that gets done gets posted. I was kind of spoiled with the Jeep as the forums are full of write ups for maintenance. I hope I can bring my experiences back here and share the victories.

Anyone know what the little circular panel under the rear passenger seat is for and where it takes you??

The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank and there is no service interval for it, because its part of a return-less fuel system, making it a "lifetime" filter.

Hi Techniker,

Thanks for the info. I kind of thought that was the case, the only fuel filter info I could find was for the European diesel version. Juts as an FYI, I was originally looking to increase my MPG / L/100K fuel economy. I have been trying this product from Gumout called "Regane Complete Fuel System Cleaner"
I have to say so far its been very impressive.
Currently My LR@ has 72000Km / 45000Mi
I have used 2 bottles of this stuff in 2 tanks of 94 Octane and I do mostly city driving.
Before I had been getting on average 14.5L/100K - 16.22MPG
after the first bottle mid tank I was getting 12.5L/100K - 18.81MPG
after the second bottle mid tank 10.8L/100K - 21.78MPG
now getting 9.3L/100K - 25.29MPG on the Hwy

New Plugs are next.
M.
