This room has an echo?

- Hello! <hello, hello, hello...>
- It's dark in here! <I know, I know, I know...>

I did end up getting some further information, it seems the FOB was pulled out of the receiver in the morning on the day that this issue started.

I'm wondering if pulling the FOB out of the receiver manually could cause some damage to it to make it not eject properly. Maybe it's jammed now because of this?

If it is damaged and needs replacement, I'm wondering if it would be possible to buy a receiver and FOB together to avoid having to take it to a Land Rover dealer? (Nearest dealer is a few hours away from where the vehicle is)

That is not likely the problem. I have often managed to inadvertently pull out the FOB thinking the receiver had released it. The solution was to push it in again, then press it to have it release.

If you change the entire dock you will still have to take it to the dealer (or someone with the JLR SDD software) to pair it to the vehicle. In which state and city are you located? Your profile just says US.

That is great news to hear! I'm hoping it's just jammed and can be released

I am in the metro Detroit area but the car is located in central Wisconsin near Wausau, WI

apologies for the late reply by the way, I really appreciate your prompt feedback

Push it in forcefully and then let it go. Try it again a few times if it doesn't work. Otherwise you're still looking at replacing the dock. I wish I could help you more but I am in Massachusetts.

If this works, that will be amazing and I will be most thankful for you sharing this to me. I searched around on freel2 but didn't find this specific thread

Edit: was this your post on the other forum? I'm curious about what other info you might have to removing the mechanism

This is why I recommend forcefully pushing in the FOB in the dock, it helps to release the dock's hooks from the FOB.

I'm so glad to have a number of options to try. I am really keeping my fingers crossed that one of them works. Seems it should based on what you and others have explained. Can't thank you all enough
