2010 lr2 driver low beam works on start then shuts off
Hi all. I just got my first Land Rover and am stoked.
its a 2010 lr2 hse. driving it home everything worked great. drove for 300 km no problems.
today my drivers side low beam shuts off after about 10 mins of being on. I shut the vehicle off and start again and it comes back on. then after a little while it cuts out again.
any ideas what is happening?

turns out the light only goes out if the vehicle is running. if I sit there with it turned off and hit the start button without starting it the lights will stay on forever. So it isn't bulb most likely. Would that be a ballast thing?
I would suspect the headlight relay for the driver's side might be faulty and acting up when it gets warm. Try switching it with the passenger side relay and then check if the light goes out on the passenger side.
When you remove the plastic cover of the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment, there will be a diagram label on the underside of the cover indicating the location of the headlight relays.

I just checked mine and discovered there are separate circuits for the Left/Right washer pumps and swivel motors (depending on your trim options). But the beams appear to be on a single fuse. So my previous suggestion does not hold.
Maybe try switching the ballasts and see if the problem moves to the other side.
