2012 lr2 park issues

2012 lr2 park issues
yes heavens.... same story.
my wife drove our lr2 this morning and said the thing wouldnt go into park. she drove it back to the house and was able to get it into park when we cut the ignition off.
so i've ordered a brake light switch, checked fuses 4 times..... i have brake lights i think. i'll know more when she gets back home, no she's not driving it. so i'm a lil confused as to whether it will be the brake light switch.
so 2 questions........
one, where the heck is the gearshift solenoid...
2, is there a manual gear shift release somewhere so i can get the thing into the garage? been working on it in the sun all day.
