Default 2013 injectors

Hello all. I have ordered new Bosch injectors for my 13 lr2 wondering if they are plug and play, or do they need to be programmed? Have not taken intake off before, any tricks to removal? Thanks in advance.

Don't know for sure on the 2013 but typically injectors are plug and play. Since they are exposed to heat and pressure they don't typically have onboard electronics, so just 12VDC applied by the ECU to open them as needed.

An online image shows only two electrical pins, so that likely confirms it's just an on/off solenoid.

Using tier one gas will prevent clogged fuel system components in modern cars...

Not to be confused with premium vs regular octane.

That’s good to know. I only use Costco or shell premium fuel. So I should be good. Thanks for the info!

I buy almost 99% exclusively from BJ's and I never have any problems with the fuel.

quick question - what initiates fuel injector changeout - mileage / rough running? Are there any additives to run through the system to pro-long life / achieve better performance - I've always stayed clear of 'em - put them in the same category as snake oil but if anyone has any positive experience I am interested for sure.... type of treatment / frequency & volume of addition / etc.

Snake oil??? You're kidding me right? Aside from the fact that "snake oil" is only sold in China and is made from their water snakes as an anti-inflammatory, there is only one reason IMO why my engine is pushing 190k, has not give me any problems, and runs like a well-oiled sewing machine -- Liqui-Moly additives and cleaning products.

This is for your fuel system.

I had a miss fire and rough idle on cold start up. It is high mileage so I figured that was the problem. After changing them out it started perfect and now idles smooth.
