Question Alexdog
First time writer, Long Time reader.
I have a 2011 LR2. Where is the ambient temperature sensor located at?
I have the part.

Inside the LH side rear view mirror.

Yes, the "nub" is under the DS(LH) side mirror; you can feel it with your hand.
