Default LR2 MAP sensor location

Anyone know an easy way to get to the MAP sensor on an LR2 with a 3.2L engine?

Maybe try removing the engine skid plate?

Curious, what symptoms does your LR2 have?

I removed the skid plate but I think there may be more to it since I could not see it. The intake manifold is right in front of the engine. There is another small plate I need to take off plus what seems to be a cross member to reach the MAP sensor. I'm getting a slight rough idle. Code reads different MAP sensor codes and lean codes. I changed the O2 sensors. It may also be vacuum leaks but this engine doesn't seem to have any vacuum lines so I will need to check the whole intake manifold. I also checked and cleaned the MAF sensor. Let me know what you think. Also, I am looking for a cheaper source for purchasing a MAP sensor. The dealer has no desire to sell me a sensor since it is 5 times the cost what it should cost. It's probably a Ford part but I have to remove it first to get a part number.

I noticed your from Tonowanda NY. I used to live close by ling time ago in Canada. I used to buy parts for a 6.5 L diesel GMC. They had a solution for the fuel injection modules that were placed in a hot spot in the engine bay. Where can I buy the MAP sensor?

Hi David,
Were you able to gain easy access to the MAP? If so, how did you ultimately access it?

I took a look at what I had to take off in front of the LR2 but I got so busy with work I haven't had a chance to take the intake manifold off. Once I get the sequence right of which under carriage protection I need to remove I think it will be fairly straight forward. It's an odd spot but when I get to it I hope it's easy. I want to clean the throttle body as well. I see oil around the area of one of the joints where the air induction meets the air intake manifold. I suspect it might be from PCV system diverting recirculating fuel oil mixture into the intake. A system I disagree with but everyone deals
with it regardless of the manufacturer.
