Default Black screen when I press Navigation

I have a new-to-me 2008 LR2 SE. The touch screen works, and settings all show up as expected, but when I press Navigation, the screen goes totally black.

I can fumble around pressing the bottom of the screen of where the "home" button is, but pressing Navigation makes the screen go black.

Can anyone help me?

In the 08, are there disks required? In my 13 a usb is used to flash the memory for the nav. it took about 30 minutes to perform the update.
I purchased the update usb (and disks for the jag) from navigation.com.

Yes, there is a DVD player for the NAV under the passenger seat.

Yes, the unit has a DVD ROM drive under the passenger seat.

Check under the passenger seat to see if you have the nav box. It uses a DVD disk for map data so that has to be in the unit as well or it won't work. If it is there check for that and make sure it hasn't come unplugged.

So I looked and yes, there's a DVD box under the passenger seat. I unlocked it, ejected the disk, then put it back in, locked it, and BAM, navigation now works! Thanks everyone!

And BTW, I wouldn't bother trying to get the Nav working, it sucks. The last update for the GPS data for the 2008 was put out in 2012. Pathetic, even by LR standards. I am planning to remove mine and either replace it with a new entertainment system with a display w/Android, or a blank cover and a Garmin Drive GPS mounted permanently.
