Considering 2012 LR2 base model....
I found a still-new 2012 LR2 base model in the color I like.
It has no Navigation system though. There's just an empty cubby hole where the NAV would be...
How much will I miss NAV?.. Are there aftermarket Nav systems (ie Garmin etc) that would be just as useful and not too awkward installation-wise?
Otherwise I really like the car and like the idea of the 2012 6-cylinder as opposed to the new 4-cylinder Turbo.
Thanks!

He also detailed the installation in landroversonly.com
I have a 2013 LR2 wtih out navigation. Do you think it would work the same as the 2012 model?
Thanks

Love my 2012, not bad on fuel , lots of power. I installed a garmin in the open spot by using there round metal stick disk mounted in open spot and then used garmin suction mount . Wired up thru back to car , now unit turns on and off with car and also can be removed. You should be able to get a very good deal on leftover 2012, go for it.

That's good price. I paid $36000 for the 2013 LR2 base w/ climate package. When I bought the LR2 in March 21, there were 3 2012 LR2s at the dealer, and now they are all gone.

The feature that I would miss the most is integrating my iphone audio (music) with the existing sound system. There is the external analog audio input jack, but it is mounted in an awkward spot. Not to mention that the cigarette lighter jacks are located in spots that do not lend itself for mounting the iPhone cradle I was used to using in my old car...
The navigation feature is a second-tier issue for me...but if I found a unit that
a) allows better electronic integration of my iphone/audio (USB or Bluetooth)
b) fills up the empty cubby hole with a screen that also provids NAVigation
c) allows the existing audio/radio system to remain functional.... In other words this extra after-market electronics just adds to the factory radio that's already there...
...I'd be happy with that...
Here's a unit I found that might fit the bill. Does anyone have any comments or experience with units such as these? (I've seen a couple of other similar ones too)
