Default Coolant / Anti-Freeze pH value

I have about 74K miles on my 2008 LR2. The service menu says to replace the coolant every ten years, so it's probably the extended-life OAT coolant.

I just checked the pH of my coolant using pH test paper and it measures around 7 - 7.5 based on the visual color of the strip. I understand the pH range for OAT coolant is lower than the pH range for conventional (green) coolant, but I don't know exactly what it's supposed to be.

Has anyone else tested the pH of their coolant for comparison?

I just found some information posted on another auto forum. I can't vouch for its reliability, but it sounds reasonable:

The LR2 has an aluminum engine. Aluminum is relatively corrosion resistant and does not exhibit the typical corrosion found with cast iron engines. Aluminum corrodes at both ends of the pH spectrum. Therefore, it is critical to maintain a pH of 7-8.5.

For reference, a pH of 7 is neutral, lower is acidic and higher is alkaline.
