Differences 6 cyl to 4 cyl LR2? Tow rating dropped?
I'm in the market for an LR2. I'm trying to get to know the car generally. I'm looking for a 2014-2015. One thing that stood out to me regarding the newer (US) 4 cyl vs the older 6 cyl is that the tow capacity rating dropped from 3500 lbs to 2000 lbs. Given that the hp/torque increased slightly and the weight of the vehicle dropped some 400 lbs, that seems backwards to me--in other words why isn't the 4 cyl rated to tow 3900 lbs?
More broadly, aside from body cladding, interior entertainment tech/dash layout, and the engine swap, what are the differences between the older 6 cyl version and the newer US-version 4 cyl version? Different transmission? Different tire ratings? Different cooling components?

I have an 08 and was interested in a newer LR2, but I tow a 3500# RV so no way was a I trying that with a 4-banger.
My guess is that the reduced tow rating has to do with the fact that the 4-cyclinder has to work harder to generate higher HP, higher RPM with turbo running. Normally a turbo is only used for acceleration or maybe hill climbing in an LR2 size car. Not designed to run constantly while highway cruising, and would probably wear out fast or overheat with a heavy tow.
