DIY rear differential repair?
I just bought my first land rover; a 2010 LR2 HSE. I have been reading up on the rear differential failure, but there isn't much info on how to fix the issue yourself.
Has anyone successfully rebuilt their differential themselves?
How big of a project is it?
I'm guessing it would be easiest to buy a spare, so I can take my time with it on the bench.

Hi LR2 Tommy
apparently from the research i did, the job is not complicated... but the tolerances are very tight.
even the Haldex oil fill procedure must be adhered to, otherwise you will have problems again.
there are a couple of people on other forums that had the repair done by independent workshops, only to have the whine come back after some months...

be careful
