Down approximately 3/4 quart oil and lose of antifreeze 2008 LR2
Ok reset
coolant low
I found the oil cooler hose on gear clamp end worn out bulging and leaking after pressure buildup. The only way I could see it is through the access panel in the wheel well passenger side, of course.
Normally, it’s a doable job for me, but I recently had back surgery and that amount of bending over the engine is a no-no at this time.
So I brought it to a Land Rover garage not a Land Rover dealership dealership here in Charlotte North Carolina won’t even work on Land Rover is older than 2012 so I found a garage that works on mostly Land Rover‘s and has a good reputation
so here’s my question they want approximately $900 to replace one hose and the thermostat I know it’s a little labor intense. They’ve got it slated for three hours. Is this a fair price and that’s just one hose do they all need to be replaced at this point at 87,000 miles on a 2008 LR2 I am the original owner and the truck is in mint shape and I believe it certainly worth that money to replace the hose but it’s difficult taking that step when I could normally do it myself for about $50 including antifreeze. Hey pro wrench what’s your opinion? Anyone else can chime in thank you
