Hi , I'm in the market for a newer car and am looking at a 2008 LR2 HSE w / 54000 miles . They're asking $15,980 . I've never owned a Land Rover and need to know If this is a good deal or are there hidden things about the LR2 that I need to know about . How about reliability ? Cost of upkeep ? I usually do upkeep on my other vehicles . Is this something I could do with this car ? Thanks

 

Well apparently , and I recently found this out myself after buying my lr2, Land rover's are kind of notorious for their unreliability. I've only had my lr2 for under a month so no problems yet 0_0. Good luck on your decision, other than what I've heard about reliability I love the car.

 

Can't speak to the reliability of the LR2, mines an LR3, but as far as up keep. They aint exactly cheap.

 

Why do you say that? Because of inevitable repairs or just cost of maint?

 

Parts are not cheap. That's what I meant.

Well O.P. all in all you got a good car. Mine has really grown on me in this last month or two I've had it. Its definitely one of the more comfortable cars I've owned by far. I love it at this point.
