Does anyone know how to replace the rearview mirror on lr2 2008. Mine has the old manual dimming one. And i would like to replace it with an electric one. Are there already connectors inside the "roof" mirros fastening thing in the car? Then it would be easy to only replace the old mirror with the new one and click on the connectors. But if there are no connecting wires built in already it's more difficult. Anyone know how to help me?

The manual dimming mirror only has the wiring for the cabin humidity sensor (and that's an "if" as I am not sure if the manual mirror has it), which leads back to the central junction box. I doubt that will provide power for an electric mirror and it will not be a simple click install.

Well, removing the mirror looks like a simple job, and my information is not always 100% accurate because at times the LR manuals are not either, so perhaps you want to see if the wiring for the automatic mirror is there, just unused. That is not uncommon, as often harnesses are made with provisions for more advanced options to avoid the cost of making separate harnesses. An example of this is the wiring for the towing module, which is there along with the necessary connectors if you decide to add that later, as I did.
If so, you would need to download the schematics and carefully track down what is available in the bundle. Just make sure you understand the power requirements of the mirror you want to install and compare against what is available for you to use. There is no option for a motorized interior mirror for the LR2, if that is what you are intending to install.
I found that the dimmed mirror in combination with the tinted rear window was too dark to see anything. During the second week I owned my new LR2, I decided that the stock mirror was a no-go. I purchased a Broadway clip-over mirror, flat (not convex), not tinted, sized 270x65mm. Simplest and cheapest upgrade I've done for this car.

I use the convex version, works great. I transferred it to the LR2 from a previous vehicle.
