Default HALP! LR2 lost all electric power from short

2012 LR2 lost all electric power when I connected a CURT trailer adapter + wire to my battery + . No dash lights, key won't eject, no electric at all. Really need help to restore ... can't figure out which fuse would be blown.

main fuse, or a relay? Subscribed as I’m looking forward to seeing a solution for this.

Hello, Guy. I'm going to investigate why the power shut off when I connected the CURT trailer wiring adapter (#56187) to the battery after installing it into the tail light wiring. Interesting enough, after an hour or so after there was no 12v power at all, the system restored itself and it started right up and accessories are working normally. There must be a circuit breaker of sorts that functions then resets the system (?).
The CURT unit is working well now with NO power coming to it, indicating it works as a non-powered unit as well. I'll add to the post if things change.

Why would you want to connect ANY new electric accessory to the battery connectors without first disconnecting them from the battery?

Ah. Brainfart. I get those too. More often now that I'm becoming the village old fart.
