Default Hard clunking when turning hard and accelerating.

Any ideas? I've replaced a bunch of stuff trying to figure this out but nothings fixed it yet lol. It's only when making sharp turns and giving her a good bit of throttle both turns left and right.

I've replaced the drivers side and about to replace the passenger side, I'll update if that fixes it.

You might want to let the forum know what's been replaced as well (related to the clunking).

Front wheel bearings and hubs
Front struts and mounts
Tie rod ends (inner and outer)
Front sway bar links
Top passenger engine mounts hydraulic and torque
Both control arms including ball joints
Driver side cv axle
Both rear axles
Front abs sensors
Rear diff fluid changed
Transmission fluid changed
Only thing left is the passenger cv axle that I can think of.

How many miles on it?

My vote if higher mileage is the valve body in the transmission. I had the same symptoms on my '08 that gradually got worse - mostly with left hand turns out of a side street and trying to accelerate hard to stay ahead of traffic. It felt like the transmission slipped out of gear for a split second and then would slam back into gear. New Aisin factory valve body and Duraprene gasket solved that problem plus another problem I was having with hunting between gears on warm days in the mountains.

Only 145000 km, I've ruled out the passenger side cv axle took it out of the hub and there was zero clicking or popping as I rotated it. I stuck a camera under the vehicle and it seems to be coming from the back end. Now I suspect possibly the rear diff as when I bought the vehicle there was water in the fluid (all thick and light brown color) I changed the fluid but I'm wondering if I should again. I did some reading and if the fluid off spec it can cause the clutch plates to engage and disengage when under load giving that clunking noise.

There are two fluid reservoirs on the rear diff. One for the differential itself and one for the Haldex clutch pack, and they use different fluids. The rear diffs on these are known for eating pinion bearings. Mine is on its third, with each one lasting roughly 110K miles, like clockwork. But that would manifest as a loud howling on the road. It could be the Haldex. They do need servicing from time to time with fresh Haldex fluid and a new fluid filter. I serviced mine when I had the rear diff out on the bench for a rebuild 2 years ago. There's a good youtube video out there for doing the job on a Volvo, which uses the same rear diff setup.

I'm going to service the haldex then thanks for the info, it hasn't been done since I've owned it I picked it up around 120000km and I'm not sure if it was ever done before that. I've also got a leak from the diff coming from where the rear cv axle goes in. Any idea how to replace that seal? Would I have to open it right up?.

If memory serves, you can replace the axle seal with the diff still in the car, but I wouldn't swear to it.

I replaced all of the seals when I had it apart but the only bearing that was bad was the outer pinion bearing (the common one that fails). The rest of the bearings looked like new so I left them alone.
