HDC Fault

My LR3 did similar last week. Tracking that down through research, found usually battery, could be burned out light, ECU, brake switch, plus more. Seems to be a problem with many possibilities. I corrected my HDC Fault, Terrain Response Fault, ABS Fault, Brake Fault, all by replacing a couple light bulbs... Lucky I guess

first halogen headlight driver side
second rear tail light driver side
third rear brake light passenger side
fourth front running light clear lens driver side
fifth front running light amber lens driver side
six front running light clear lens passenger side
seventh front running light amber passenger side
Every bulb replaced was only bulb out. The fourth through sixth bulb replacement worked fine but another bulb blew upon first power on. Very frustrating to pull same headlight assembly out a second time to replace adjacent bulb. This happened on driver and passenger side front running lights. Replaced clear to find amber lens (same bulb type) now blown. Replaced clear then amber on front driver side to find a front clear running light now out on passenger side. Then of course, the amber light now needed replacing.
There is a cause and affect here, no doubt. Odds of lights going out in order are a billion to one. Did not use OEM, but bulbs from local parts store. Assume new bulb pulling or resisting slightly different causing aging bulb to blow.... Just theory, I am not an electrical expert.. But LR3 cleared all codes and shifts great..
Found a couple tail light out on LR2 showing HDC fault. Will be replacing those and brake light switch as these are cheap fixes but known to cause HDC and other faults

If you have lights regularly blowing that would indicate a short somewhere maybe related to vibration or moisture; I'd recommend locating and inspecting the grounds that relate to the light modules that are causing you issues. Also, have you checked your electrical system for parasitic draw as that also causes the various ECUs to slowly lose power and cause many fault codes?

No I have not. My LR3 had multiple faults, HDC fault, and would not auto shift. Replacing bulbs seem to of sorted that. LR3 is what blowing bulbs as new ones were installed
My wife's 2011 LR2 has HDC fault. Just found a rear running light out yesterday. Day before the LR2 high center brake light was out and found it had melted its socket. I unplugged light socket and removed.... Trying to find replacement now without luck. Don't know if related to HDC fault or not. The HDC fault was long before these bulbs blew. Related, don't know. The high center light melting socket may imply a short. I will e running a multi meter later
Let me know where I can get a replacement socket.
