WARNING

The blackberry bluetooth program requires os4.2 or above.
It won't work with 4.1
Which means my 7290 (for which the latest software is 4.1) won't work with my new freelander

I just bought my LR2 hours ago and I'm in the setup stage with Sirius etc... Now I'm struggling a bit with the phone. Has any one had any luck pairing the Palm Treo 700wx to the LR2?

Thanks in advance.

The Tech/Nav package has the Bluetooth, but I'd heard somewhere that they were going to make the Bluetooth as a separate option. Don't know if that's true or not. Ask your dealer to verify that the Tech package will include it, I'd say.

The Tech package, which includes navigation is what you need to add as an option in order to have the Bluetooth.

I purchased LR2 Saturday only to find it won't sink with Blackberry 7100i. Looking at the Land Rover info for the LR2 they divided the LR2 into 3 classis based on VIN numbers. I purchased a demo and it is in the earliest group which appears to have the least capabilities for the various phones.

Does anyone know what Land Rover has done for testing? The newer LR@ by VIN seem to pair with the greatest number of phones. Has LR tried every phone with every type of Land Rover and this list is it? Or what?

Has anyone tried the new "Touch" by HTC?

I just purchased a 2008 LR2 HSE with all the packages I could get (inlcuding tech with bluetooth). I can't get it to pair to my Verizon Samsung SCH-U740. Its really a let down. I mean isn't bluetooth just bluetooth? I don't understand.

What constitutes "full functionality" as far as bluetooth cell phones go? My KRZR K1M will pair OK, and while I do get my phonebook, dialled, missed, received etc. I can't get it to voice dial. You would think this would be a real advantage, as the only other option is to take your eyes off the road to look at the head unit screen while you scroll through lists.

Has anybody been able to get the voice dial part of the phone to work with the HU?

I just bought a new TMobile Shadow made by HTC. I had a Motorola Razr synched before and it worked fine. The Motorola had limited menu access but I didn't care. I just wanted to be able to dial and answer form the steering wheel.

First night I got the Shadow it synched up, I placed a test call and it worked fine. Next day, I get a call, comes in over the speakers and I answer using steering wheel controls and nobody's there. At least I thought. Turns out the call wa answered on the handset. Next day, same thing but the day after that, I called someone from the car using the steering controls and it worked like it's supposed to. Guess what? Doesn't anymore. I have access to all my menus, it tells me it's synched. I can answer and dial etc it just doesn't come on over the stereo. Weird. Anyway, TMobile's clueless, they said they don't know anything about Land Rover and told me to call HTC. I called HTC and she was even more clueless. I told her I had a brand new Land Rover so the technology isn't old and then she asked me what kind of car I had. I'm pretty sure I called India. They told me they don't offer tech support other than basic set up and to call the auto maker. Land Rover's looking into it. I just got my car back today with the latest software upgrade and it didn't fix it. Anyone else?
