I have a 2008 land rover LR2 and having some issues with starting and now keeping it running. Sometimes on start up it will sputter and then die a time or 2 then will start. Yesterday while driving its started to die and by the time i pulled off the rode and got parked it died on me. No lights have came on and all regular maintence is done, anyone have any ideas?

 

I have some similar issues starting when it's hot out but it never died on me. There apparently is a software update the dealer should have to correct the problem. I need to get mine done!

 

This happened to me the other day. It was a morning cold start, hot day, 1/8-1/4 tank of fuel. The car started, shuttered and rpms were all over the place at idle. After a few restarts, I backed the car up fast, hit the brakes, drove it forward, hit the brakes and restarted. What ever it was went away. If there is a software upgrade,I may need it.
