Default Lifting a 2011 LR2

Hello everyone

I am considering lifting my 2011 LR2 but I have absolutely no clue of where to start. With no knowledge on lifting vehicles, I thought I would start here with you all, in hopes that someone has some good insight.

I’ve attached a pic of my LR2 and also a pic of a Lexus suv I seen lifted up the height I’m thinking.

I don’t want to lift it up too high, so maybe 4-6 inches at the most. Maybe that IS too high though?

Anyhow, if there is any reason this would be a terrible idea, please let me know.

Appreciate you all as always!

All I know is that no one seems to sell lift kits for LR2's. If you find a kit, I'd love to know about it.

I would not lift the LR2. When Consumer Reports tested it, two wheels lifted off the ground on higher speed cornering. Lifting it will only raise the center of gravity and reduce safety.

The LR2 was not designed for high speed cornering.

The stock LR2 fails cornering tests that other SUV's pass. You always want a margin of safety.

Or use the brakes and don't do high speed cornering.

Or avoid nails on the road and don't carry a spare tire. Not convincing.

Apples and oranges. You do know the difference, right? I'm not interested in convincing you; facts are facts. The bottom line is that the LR2 is not designed to handle high speed cornering well, period. It is what it is, a trade-off so you get other, more desirable handling characteristics. If you want high speed cornering, get yourself a Mazda Miata, but be prepared for the consequences when you want to go offroad or need to navigate a snowy day, for example. What you want is not generally available, and if you try to get close, you will also be separated from 6-digit sums of money. No SUV is truly designed for that, though a few have tried. https://www.motortrend.com/news/best...nd-crossovers/

And I'm done with this pointless discussion. Cya.
