Well, this is an interesting whoop-dee-do. Price for the skid plate went up to $250 qty 20-99. But sample price is still $60. Who's on first? LOL!

 

This whole thing turned into a crash-and-burn. Avoid this company like the plague. They have no clue what they are doing and are not trustworthy. And yes, I am a firm believer in crash and burn. If they don't like it, let them try to sue me in the US and watch what happens.

Good thing I went through Alibaba and they already processed my 100% refund.

They didn't. Alibaba sent me my money back.

 

One of the key factors that makes Alibaba/AliExpress successful is that they keep payments in escrow until the buyer confirms receipt of the product in good order. That makes refunds easy when you have a claim. I've had to use this refund process once myself.

 

I had no idea that was the case. So it's like the Dominican Republic. Best way to do business with is with THEIR money.

 

It turns out there are two part #'s for this. Based on my VIN, the correct part is LR006779, which is significantly more expensive, but looks EXACTLY the same.

 

I just googled it locally here in Ontario, Canada. LR wants $900 plus 13% HST. That's insane...

 

Ok, I got some better info from the local dealer. The LR032033 is indeed cheaper and it is for the DIESEL model. The LR006779 is for the gas model. The parts guy suspects the 032033 will fit the gas model trucks but has a cutout for the oil filter that the gas model doesn't have because the oil filter is accessed from the top of the engine.

So, can you folks who have diesels maybe confirm the bottom skid plates are otherwise the same?
