If you fail the test above then the complete housing is

Filter Assembly - Land-Rover (LR041257)

And it can be purchased for about $200

I've used Tampa Land Rover in the past for parts because they have free shipping over $99 https://parts.landrovertampa.net/Lan...257-141603.htm

The important thing to remember is that you need the Housing which comes with the Heat Exchanger attached.

A quick google search for the LR041257 also showed just the heat exchanger for a lot less $$$$ but this in not what you need.

If this isn't clear just post here the link to what you are thinking of getting and i'll confirm its the assembly

Good luck

Paul

Picked up the lr2 the mechanic found nothing wrong with it. hope it keeps that way , anybody heard a bip like the old cell phones when the battery is low? my lr2 start with this bip sometimes, this is the 2nd time I herd this bip and I can't locate from where is coming it sounds to the left of the steering wheel, also the mechanic suggested to change the oil to synthetic 5-30 he says it will be a lot better on the engine and may help a little bit with the mileage already bought Castrol 5-30 synthetic any thoughts about it? planning to change it myself next week.

That's what I use as well. As to the beep, never heard it.

Synthetics are definitely the way to go for sure in any modern engine if you plan to keep the car for any length of time. The cost of synth pales in comparison to a top-end job, and bottom-end damage makes most used cars junk (too expensive to fix). You will pretty much not have engine mechanical issues in any modern motor prior to 200K if you run synth. Remotely possible to get a motor with a factory defect, but those will usually manifest quickly, under warranty. If the motor makes it to 20K, it should make it to 200K.

And they will typically improve mileage if you were running dino oil previously... synthetic seems to dissolve all of the baked-on crud that accumulates in a motor running dino juice. My acura went from 300 miles/tank on the highway to 400 after making the switch (took a while, months, because it dissolves slowly). The valve cover went from black and crusty to clean and shiny after the switch.

Dino oil. LOL! Running your car on what's left of something that died 65 million years ago and got liquified under the ground.
