Default LR2 2014 SD4- Restricted perfromance warning

I changed my 07 model after wonderful expereince of owning it for 4 years, with newer 2014 SD4 model about 3 months ago. Beautiful car except everytime I try to overtake or push the gas paddle down< I get "Restricted Perfromance" warning and car starts to slow down. Very embarrasing indeed but more worrying as it suddeny looses power which could be dangerious on busy roundabouts in England! After pressing the gas paddle and waiting patiently for good few minutes- the car does pick up speed but warning stays on dashboard despite pressing OK to clear it. Please help

I gather this is the turbo diesel model. If you are still under warranty, take it back to the dealer. It looks like your intercooler/turbo flexible pipe is broken or has a leak. That is one of the most common causes, but not the only one.

Thank you for coming back so quickly. Yes it is a diesel model and unfortunately just out of 3 minths guarantee period. I am worried about the cost of repairs and do not want to be ripped off and not have the issue resolved either? I really appreciate your input.

I would also strongly suggest that before you tear into anything you read any error codes from the computer and post them here.

Default Restricted Performance warning

Hi
I have finally managed to get it sorted after visiting half a dozen mechanics and dealers asking for 3 times the Labour/parts cost I paid. The issue is to with sensors and I had 2 sensors changed ( Mass Air Flow sensor & Boost Temperature sensor) which has resolved. Car drones like a dream
now and I love it. I have tested for over 500 miles and no issues at all.

Sweet! Also if you haven't seen the Freel2 forum, that's mostly Brits and Europeans who mostly have the TD4 so lots of info there including who are the good indie mechanics in the UK. There's a guy in Worcestershire who rebuilds the rear diffs, sure wish he was closer to San Diego...
