When you shut the engine off without refueling, did you remove the key from the ignition?

 

I did which I guess I typically do not when refueling.

 

Today's test results.

Yesterday drove home 35 miles 1 hour parked and shutoff the car did not remove the key or lock the doors waited 6 minutes restarted and everything was fine.

This morning drove 15 miles half way point to work and stopped for gas to top off to see if it was just on fueling. It only took 5 gallons since it wasn't at the normal 1/4 tank when I refuel. Again no problem starting or idling.

I guess I'll have to wait to try it again when I get down to 1/4 tank.

 

Well Roverguy I think that was it. I had the LR2 in on Friday for the hot start software fix and have not had any problems since.

I even filled up at my normal gas station this morning with no issues.

I appreciated the help.

You can't beat the price(Free) and a wash and vacuuming while at the dealer.
