Carbon Canister/Purge Valve

Carbon Canister/Purge Valve
Gents and Ladies,
still working on fixing the ODBII fault code problem for evap emission. I believe it is the Carbon canister, my only question is does anyone know if you have to replace the entire Carbon Canister on a Disco, or if you can just replace a purge valve inside of it? None of my manuals show the breakdown on the carbon canister, so I don't know what I can and can't replace.

RE: Carbon Canister/Purge Valve
Did you end up buying it from a Dealership or from a parts supplier? Also, did you get a warning light prior to switching out the Canister? And after you switched the canister did the light go out automatically? Or did you have to go to a dealer for the ODBII?
Thanks
Buck

RE: Carbon Canister/Purge Valve
The only place I found the canister-valve was the dealer it cost about $ 170 USD.
The light went out but I reset the code that was stored in memory. I have my own OBDII reader.
The CEL/MIL light did come on so I knew what to check and do.
Sometimes I have found that the electric plugs just need to be
checked, with the key off check the plugs on the canister unplug
and replug them in and see if it helps.
