First on list... while changing vanity light, bracket that plastic clips to in head liner isn’t attached to anything.... therefore, reinstalling plastic cover, bracket won’t stay in place... I️ pulled it out completely, got cover attached but can’t get it back into head liner.... is there an easy method I’m overlooking?? Heeeeelllllppp!
Ps... my wife loves her newsed Rover!!

The batteries in the key fobs are rechargeable, they charge when inserted in the fob slot in the dash. But after some years the batteries don't hold the charge anymore which is probably the case with your key fobs.
See here how to replace the batteries:
After the battery has been replaced, place the circuit board in the new empty shell and hopefully it works again. No programming is required as long as you re-use the circuit boards.
I can't help you with the vanity light, never opened one myself. But I found this video where they replace the bulbs in the vanity light:
Maybe it helps.
The part numbers for the vanity light is LR001964, the part number for the retainer is LR000712. Both parts can be found on internet and are not expensive. Maybe it is easier to buy new parts then to struggle with old (maybe partly broken) parts.
