I think I hit the jackpot. The salvage yard pulled the engine from the car today. I am impressed with these pictures.

No kidding. These pics are also useful for gearheads trying to find things in the engine compartment...

Great pics! My recycler cleaned the exterior of my replacement engine before transporting it. It looks like your salvage yard did the same unless it was already that pristine in the first place.

If I had thought of it at the time, some of the things I would have replaced when the engine was removed are the blower fan/motor for the interior HVAC which makes a grinding sound during cold weather, and the heater hoses which are otherwise difficult to access.

I suspect they just gave it a light wash to remove surface dust. All my hoses were (painfully) replaced over the last year. That was an exercise in chasing my own tail. Change something, something else failed! Oof. The HVAC blower was recently changed by the same shop that will install this engine.

I'm jazzed. I even played Megamillions today. I haven't gotten this lucky in a long time.
