Default Pairing remote

I had to disconnect my battery to do some work and when I reconnected it the remote won't work. Car starts ok, which means it doesn't have to be reprogrammed, but does anyone have the instructions to pair the remote to the car again?

From the repair manual

If the remote handset rolling code loses synchronization with the CJB, the remote handset functions will not operate.
Synchronization between the remote handset and CJB is restored by starting the engine with the affected remote handset,
and allowing the engine to run for a minimum of 6 minutes.

I think I need to reset the CJB, or perhaps the entire system. Anybody know how that is done other than unplugging the battery?

You'd have to have access to JLR SDD and a Mongoose type cable or access to a reader/programmer that has that ability like an iidtool/gap tool. Maybe try a hard reset with the battery terminals unless you have already but did not convey that in the OP?

I didn't try it as a solution, it's what the stupid mechanic I hired did before he started working on the car. I should have been clearer about that. I will have to do that again. Does it make a difference in which order i reconnect the terminals?
