Recent Engine Issues
So I went to start my vehicle the other day, immediately when it started it began vibrating as if there was a decent misfire or timing issue in the engine. I immediately got something along the lines of "decreased engine performance or power" on my message centre. Then the car started "bogging" heavily at idle and then check engine came on and remained solid so I shut it off.
Today I had borrowed a friends OBD2 to try and diagnose the issues, got a P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire, P0351 Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit and P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (which I assume is the Bank 1 O2 Sensor) But the concerning part was after I had finished grabbing the codes and disconnected the OBD, I went around to the front of the vehicle and there was a decent amount of electrical smoke coming from the Far left (passenger side) Coil Pack.
Any one with any advice? oping it's not too expensive of a repair maybe DIY? Don't want to sink more into the car than what it's worth.

P0301 and P0351 likely indicate you lost the #1 cylinder ignition coil. The smoke makes it even likelier. If that's the case, the coil is easily replaced and is a no-brainer DIY. Disconnect the battery, remove top engine snap-on plastic cover, remove single bolt, GENTLY unplug (you don't want to ruin the plug and have to replace the entire harness) and pull the coil out from the spark plug. Reverse to install. You can do that single one, but I would recommend that you change all six, so as not to tempt Murphy, seeing as he has already paid special attention to #1. A set only costs about $70-$90 on ebay.
If you choose to do all this kindly let us know how it all turns out.

Yeah all those codes strongly hint coil #1. The CAT code is because the fuel is not getting lit, but rather dumped raw into the exhaust.
For plugs I'd recommend the Denso Platinum 4704 Twin Tip. I liked them so much I put them on my acura too, noticeable boost in power on both cars and the acura's old NKG plugs were were in still in good shape with only 50k miles (half the change interval).
