Lightbulb Reducing heat and Reinforcing Firewall

Good Morning,

I am busy doing up my Land Rover Series 2A 1965. I am wanting to insulate the inside of the car as the firewall get painfully hot.
What would the community recommend as a good insulator for the firewall?

Thanks in advance

This specific LR2 forum might not give you the access to the entire forum knowledge for the Series 2A.

I can only recommend what I used on aircraft, a ceramic blanket. I used it to insulate an exhaust tube from a turbine engine on an aircraft I owned. Worked great.

Amazon Amazon

But you really should check in the forum for your vehicle.

Oh and keep in mind that insulation does not dissipate heat, it just prevents its transfer. When you do that it will stay in your engine compartment. You should consider that in whatever you do. There should be a way to dissipate the heat out of the engine compartment.
