I recently bought a Land Rover LR2, so I need to learn many things about LR2 from all of you guys.
Excuse me for my limited knowledge about LR2 & Thank you for your tips in advance!

1) I would try to apply seafoam into the engine oil tank (for cleaning the deposits inside the engine), AND to let seafoam get into the engine through an intake. Do you think there would be no problem if I do this? For instance, would there be fine to the O2 sensor or catalytic converter, etc.?

2) According to LR2 user manual, octane 87 is fine. I just wonder if there is no problem at all even if I use octane 87 which is a regular gas.

3) In the automatic car washing shop, there were a lot of water intrusion rear inside. Is there anyone who has ever experienced this water show?
I tried to find from which water comes in but it was hard. In my case, there was no leak through the rear windshield sealant outside.

 

1.The seafoam is a personal choice, if you do it follow the instructions
2.My opinion, I have a 2008 i6, only use Tier 1 gas. I use Shell exclusively.
3.You likely have water leaking from the high level brake light. The seal is likely gone.

 

Don't use SeaFoam, use Liqui-Moly Engine Flush Plus. Also, 87 gas is not correct for this car, the service manual does not say that, LR2's use 91 octane or better premium gas. Water intrusion usually comes from the sunroof seal, if you have one.
