Start Delay
I have a 2011 LR2 SD4, when I press the start button it takes about 5 seconds and then it starts normally, this problem started after I changed the starter kit. Before that I pressed the start button and the engine started quickly. Anyone have an idea what it could be? Thanks.
Ask the car by hooking it up to a reader to see if you get codes. It has to be a reader that understands LR2 modules. If you don't have one, take it to your local Autozone or other auto parts store. They will do it for free.
Also, try resetting the electronics by disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery, then the positive, touch them together for 10-20 seconds, wait a minute or two and hook the terminals back on in the reverse order.

Does it actually crank for five seconds and then start? If so it could be a weak connection with the starter or battery, or maybe just a faulty new starter. Check the battery and starter cable connections.
If it does nothing for five seconds and then cranks, that's likely a computer or sensor issue and you'll need to pull the codes for that. Start with a computer reset as flybd5 mentioned.
Also these cars do not like a weak battery at all, so get your battery tested (FLAPS can do that too). If it's more than 4-5 years old, just replace it.
