Hi guys, I have a 2009 Land Rover LR two with the 3.2 L engine I’m in the midst of changing my serpentine belt and my tensioner pulley in the midst of removing my power steering pump I came across this piece ( see photo )
and I’m not sure if it’s part of the power steering pump or just something that was left behind or something that had fallen in to the engine compartment. Just hoping it’s not part of the power steering pump because I have no idea where it goes. TIA

That's the centering guide pin for the coupler between the water pump and power steering pump. It's not strictly needed but it's pretty hard to get the drive coupler aligned with the two parts without it.
