hello all, I have an 08 Lr2. Plastic rail guide is broken and I can not find replacement parts. I am able to find them for the free lander but not for Lr2. Any one can help please?
The second generation Freelander was marketed as the LR2 in North America and as the Freelander 2 in the rest of the world. They are the same car.
The online parts catalogs also mention both names (Freelander 2/LR2 (GCAT) 2006-).
Some parts might be different (lights, badges) but my guess is that the guide rail is the same. If the part you need is part <500A64C in the picture above then the part number is LR012676. The part catalog only mentions 1 part number for this item.
A good site for finding part numbers is http://cat.lrparts.ru/. The site is in Russian (and sometimes slow) but just click the pictures and the part you need and it will show you the part numbers with a part description (in English).
Just make sure the part you order is for a Freelander 2, the first generation Freelander is different.
