Default Suspension overhaul

I am thinking about overhauling the front and rear suspension on my '08. What should I expect to pay for a set of four struts, front and rear?

When I looked into this some time ago, the wide range of pricing required comparison shopping. The lowest price I found for Bilstein struts (under $500) was at ShockSurplus.com. Next lowest price at AutoHausaz.com.

I'd recommend Bilstein B4, slightly firmer than stock ride, both wife and I prefer it over stock.

Shop charged me $360 each a few years ago, but high rent zip code plus shop mark-up.

Unless they are leaking, I would settle for a seat cushion.

After 17 years it's time for them to go. I also need a new A/C compressor, it's noisy. I need it changed before it blows and contaminates everything with pieces of who knows what. Amazon wants $800+ for the Bilsteins. That died a horrible death.

Hmm. It turns out what Amazon was offering me was a full set of B6's, instead of B4's. What's the difference?

B6 will be stiffer, I considered them but went with B4, which was still a little firmer than stock (in a good way IMO).

I was reading up on the difference and decided to go with B4's too.

If your boots look scrappy, don't forget to buy new ones for good measure. They don't come bundled with the struts and need to be purchased separately.

The seem to look fine but I will have the mechanic check them. They're inexpensive and he can get them same day. Thx.
