Wait a sec, no, LR Centre only charged me 30 pounds, about $36. Are you ordering from the same folks? They take the order then quote you for shipping and you pay it separately when you confirm you're ok with the shipping cost.

LR Centre quoted me 35 pounds but I did not know it was DHL shipping, they are quite fast. I want to order the 13 pin wiring kit as I can always fit an adapter as necessary. I tried the dealer but they no longer stock the LR kits. The only other plug and play trailer module I found was the PF Jones kit for the FL2 and they don't ship to North America as far as I can tell.

Nothing on Ebay and if you search the PFJones part number (29190510pf), there are a few site that sell it for 50 pounds free shipping but when I Google their contact email, they look like scam sites.

Shipping went up 5 pounds? That's strange. Well, at least it's a perfect plug and play kit. Takes only a few minutes to install.

Do you mean an adapter to US 4- or 7- pin? If so, how are you going to wire it?

Yeah, but I just did a search for said adapter and I can't find a suitable one yet. Still searching...

EDIT: looks like a UK round 7 to US flat might be the way to go. Still searching.

I haven't found one either. We will likely have to wire one ourselves by tapping into the connector wiring.

Check out this thread...

I installed an OEM harness myself, then had the dealer activate it. Then I had a shop splice in the brake controller and 7-pin connector. They had one guy who knew Land Rover, and they wouldn't let anyone else touch it...

Don't understand why people think the dealer has to activate anything related to the OEM harness. That's just not true. I installed an OEM harness and it worked out of the box, no visit to a dealer required. The only reason you would want to visit the dealer is if you want to disable the rear park assist beep when you are towing anything. That only happens when you are in reverse.
