Sorry if it’s a dumb question. But can anyone tell me what this silver rod is? It goes down the back of the motor and towards transmission. Not sure how far back though. It’s not a dipstick, but I am.
Mira on a 2013 lr2. 2.0L 4cyl

It's the breather for the auto transmission.

I've always wondered if you get a tiny dial tone before it starts doing the breathing.
