Power steering fluid goes straight to the ground on the opposite side of the reservoir.

If you are lucky, there is a leak where the hoses connect to the reservoir, and the fluid follows the hose towards the pump until it falls to the ground. It's a DIY project to replace the reservoir and reconnect the hoses.

Worst case is the power steering pump has a leak and needs to be replaced, a much bigger job.

This happened right after I got home from the shop that replaced the fuel pump and assembly ($1000 job) could this be related? Can’t avoid to think something fishy.

The fuel pump is not in the same area as the power steering. But it's possible they may have inadvertently knocked a PS hose loose from it's fitting. That would actually be a good thing, since it should be an easy fix.

This leak is much easier to diagnose when you can inspect from underneath. However, if you can't drive it to a shop because it is too low on PS fluid, and you're not comfortable diagnosing it further yourself, then you may want to have a mobile mechanic visit you.

I don't they should be related since the fuel pump is in the tank (assuming 3.2 gas engine). I don't think they should have been doing anything under the hood, other than maybe connect a gauge to the fuel rail to check the pressure.

If you've never replaced the PS reservoir, you need to do that anyway... it has a built in filter which can only be replaced by replacing the res. Cheap and easy DIY.
