I bought one of these inexpensive Relay Testers about a year ago. I tested it with known good and bad relays I have on hand and it works like a charm. Of course, you can rig up some wiring to test a relay, but this device is so much more convenient, and cheap as dirt to buy (less than 10 bucks on Aliexpress or Temu).
Haven't used it yet to diagnose any faults, but will be handy to have when the need arises.
I went to AliExpress (which I almost never visit), and found the tester for $0.99 + $0.40 tax with free shipping. I placed an order, figure if it doesn't get here I'm only out a buck and change.

That sounds suspicious.
Did the AE listing have more than one item for sale? In those cases, I've found that the button for the cheapest item is selected by default, while the listing photo shows the more expensive item. That makes it easy to purchase a low priced item you didn't intend to buy, while thinking you're getting the higher priced item shown in the photo. In those cases, you have to be very careful about the button selection.
Anyway, fingers crossed that you just got a great deal!
Seriously man, do you I am going to overthink a 99 cent purchase that much? I have better things to do.
If you actually wanted or needed the relay tester, and then waited 4+ weeks only to receive a different item, you would be grateful for the tip. These forum posts are read by dozens/hundreds of other folks who might find it helpful.
Both of the relays in slots R8 (speed) and R11 (power) are marked as Ford 6G9T-14B192-BA.
I just checked eBay and there are a handful of these (used) for sale with a matching part #. Relays typically last longer than the lifetime of the vehicle, so purchasing a used one might get you far enough.
