I just used the existing 12v circuit. It was already sufficient for my fridge and charging couple cameras. This circuit is powered only when key ignition is turned on (Key position 2&3) - but there is a quick fix. Pull the 12v relay out and replace with a jumper wire. I used to use a short wire with two male spades to keep it powered. Now I have an old broken relay that I disassembled and hardwired to constant power. Quick swap to make it work either way (constant or switched).

I am going to install the panel like that with a kill switch but the fuse trick is money. So you do not have a house battery just the starter battery, what does the fridge draw and how long does it run when the vehicle is not?
The relay for that socket is under the hood I'm assuming you have a location?
and jumper cables as backup when camping.
I considered a 2nd battery, but that 2nd battery box has been a popular spot for warming up lunch on the trail ;-)

That's awesome, I got in there last night and was lost. I ended up finding something and I'm sure you are right. I'm going to dig back into it today after work. I also read that it makes the cig 12v in the center always on too. Is that correct? If so I will need to figure out my Bluetooth. May have to route it from the front.
Ill try to snap a pic or two this evening if I can get it done and post them tomorrow.
Also I will be running the fridge on the other side so I will need outlets on the passenger side. I will route them there too.

Yes, definitely 2nd row and maybe the front/right outlet too.
I powered my bluetooth off the radio power so that it would follow the same logic. Stays powered for ~5min after key switches off or immediately after the key removed.
The routed the AUX cable to the input from 2nd row I'm assuming.
I've read a pretty good right up and parts list to install a connection into radio system with an ipad, just have not gotten around to it.
The Bluetooth I have in powers on itself in the back due to the outlet powering on so I do not have to manually power it on. So if I can tap into a hot wire like you did it will definitely do the same thing.
I will have to if I jump the relay.

Do you by chance has some info on how you ran that?
Pretty easy to do once you get your bearings though is is tight like others have expressed. Unplugged my Bluetooth over night and nothing ill affected my battery. Started up perfectly in the AM.
Also ordered another outlet with USB and volt meter. Will run that once it arrives. Wire with one spade connector Wire with spade connectors opposing Relay pulled Relay replaced with wire
I mounted my sockets on the RH side just behind the 3rd row cup holders, 1 x merit and 1 x 12V socket but yet to mirror for the LH side. Less likely of being knocked out like the original location.
That is a great location. And looks factory. I like it. Not sure I know what a "merit" socket is (tried google) but I'm guessing a duel USB? Am i correct in my assumption?
