12v in boot question
They have a more positive lock on the socket providing better contact and less likely to fall or vibrate out on rough terrain.

Oh Ok, I noticed that the one that came with my fridge was like that, but did not know that was what it was called. So one can order the merit female and produces a more solid connection than the standard cig socket?
Yes it is, boot=trunk, bonnet=hood ect.
America is, boot=boot (foot), bonnet (hat for women) ect.
When I first got it I was scolded because I used our terminology (it was jokingly) but figured the Rover calls it these on the display so I figured I would as well. Pay homage to the English I guess. I guess I just assumed others did too, apparently my assumption was vastly incorrect.
Also from my understanding Europeans dislike it when it is refereed to as a truck! LOL
Though tyre does confuse me a bit? I mean its pronounced the same but obviously the spelling?
Anyways thank for clarifying better than I could at the moment spannermonkey!
