2005 LR3 - HELP! Xenon Headlight Intermittently going out .

I've searched the forums and can't seem to find anyone with the same issue I'm having. Any help would be appreciated!
My driver side headlight goes out but will come back on. I've replaced the bulb and ballast and fuse but still have the issue. From cold start the headlight will always come on but once driving it will go out. If I put the car into park and them back into drive the headlight comes on. If I've been driving for several hours my toggle from drive to park hack doesn't work and the headlight remains off. Possibly because of the heat generated after driving for some time? The vehicle is designed to turn the lights off when in park , is it possible there is a relay somewhere for this ? I've checked the fuse box underhood and under passenger side but there is no such relay. Also note this is a Canadian model so we have day time runners.
Has anyone else had this issue!? Thanks for any suggestions or guidance.
Had the same issue, it was the lamp. And a pretty new Hella brand one. Make sure, 100%, that your connector to your headlamp housing is clicked in. They take a bit of force. If you are certain that is not the issue, remove the connector and make sure a pin or two is not pushed back into ti.

Wow ..You even had this odd behavior when changing gears!? I will circle back to the lamp. Maybe some dialectic grease on the contact. Thanks for the reply!
Never put dielectric grease on connectors, its suppose is to insulate - hence its very name. It is for waterproofing the connectors themselves, as in enhance the weather gaskets.
Put on the outside of the male connector. So when it inserts, it helps with the weather seal inside that often looks like below. If you look inside any automotive female connector you will see one at the bottom. Different colors sometimes. But it helps beyond the seal by taking up space between the two connectors where fine dirt can make it hard to disconnect sometimes.
