2005 - Whole lotta electrical issues
I bought my LR3 in 2011 and it was in pretty good shape. I replaced the turn signal stalk, installed the tail lights correctly, and have replaced the compressor. Last summer while parked at the airport, at least an inch of water poured out of the driver's side when I opened the door. The driver's side floor and RR passenger floor were consistently wet. With the help of some forums, I was able to determine that the rubber elbow at the bottom of my front left sunroof drain tube was broken, and dumping water into the cabin. I finally diverted that and have cleaned out the water, but still have several issues which occured around that same time, which may or may not be related.
1. Driver's heated seats: No longer function, but the button on the dash illuminates. This issue I thoroughly dove into. I have the electrical diagrams, and associated manuals. No fuses are popped. The connector under the seat receives 12V and ground. The sensor on both the driver side and passenger side show about 7.5kOhms. It is my guess that the heating elements have failed. I remember one day driving and thinking, wow these seats are burning my ***! That was probably about the last time they worked.
2. Sunroof: Buttons don't work. The buttons pinout fine (continuity to ground when pressed, although one side did have a somewhat high resistance at first press). The unit receives 12V and ground. No fuses popped.
3. Keyfob locking: Works intermittently. Have not gotten into this much yet.
I'll keep digging into the other issues more as I have a good chunk of trim pieces out of the car now, but I'm very surprised I'm not getting farther with some of these items. I work on electrical on race cars for a living but this has been a struggle! Any advice is appreciated. Although the wiring along the left hand side has been a wiring icicle for a couple of months, there really aren't any obvious signs of damage.
The forums have been very helpful and I appreciate any feedback!

1- Probably the element itself. Can you ohm it? See if it completes a signal throughout? Not sure if seat heaters can be tested like this but seems to me they should.
2- maybe the motor?
3- Probably the Fobs failing, just coincidental timing.
Best of luck, I hate electrical gremlins.

2-The sunroof has a re-calibration process. If you have the manual, refer to it because I don't remember exactly how to do it and my manual is out of reach as I type this. I think you hold the sunroof switch for 20 seconds; then it starts the re-cal. Sounds like vodoo but it works. Also, make sure you use a stopwatch and time your switch holding....because 20 seconds can feel like a long time and it seriously does nothing until that 20th tick.
3-There is a wiring harness near the plastic molding on the front passenger side floorboard. Especially since you had water ingress issues, check that harness for corrosion. Others have had that issue with the same symptoms.
