Looking at a 2006 LR3. Is premium gas a requirement for this vehicle? Thanks.

4.4? Yes. Although the text, for legal reasons, will always say recommended.

The majority of time you want premium but if you cannot get it the car will run fine on regular. Longterm on regular might not be good.

Yeah, it will run okay but there will be reduced power and fuel economy. When I travel west I often can not locate "premium". With a rig loaded up like mine, the difference in acceleration and economy is very noticeable. The only gain is to my wallet, where getting a lesser grade costs less and the drop in economy is not 1:1. Meaning I can often come out a little ahead in my fuel budget.
