2007 LR3 AC question Help
I posted a few weeks ago my AC was hit and miss. At that time, I got a DIY Recharge kit. I filled the Low Side with refrigerant. When i hit the trigger on the recharge can, the pressue would go into the red on the guage but when I let off it would slowly wind down a little. I did this until when I let off the trigger of the recharge kit, the pressure would go from Red- to into the green.
At this time my AC started blowing cold again! Yay..
Then... My ac would start working, then go off, then back on while driving. It stopped working really at all. I checked the pressure on the low side again, and it said it was in the Red now, 90 PSI or so. I didn't know what do to, so I let a little pressure out of the unit until the PSI was back into the green. AC still blows hot.
What do I do now? Add Refrigerant and see if it starts working? Replace compressor? Take it to AC shop?

To troubleshoot correctly you need to be able to monitor pressures on both sides.
If the compressor was not running, then the suction (low side) pressures go up. So if you let some out, you may now be undercharged. But without being able to see the high side pressures, it's hard to tell what's really going on, such as expansion valve operation, etc.
