2007 LR3 EAS Height control toggle switch
I have an entertaining problem here, I can raise the machine into extended mode but cannot drop it until I drive faster than about 20mph, when it sounds a warning chime and automatically drops the vehicle to "normal" driving height. I'm assuming the PO (or his young children) had spilled something down the console and the switch is defective, so has anyone sourced the toggle switch or have we accepted the official line and replaced the whole console switch assembly? Am about to go crazy with this, can't believe that the only solution to a momentary 2 position toggle switch is a complete console replacement? While I'm investigating please feel free to chime in with your thoughts, I'll be happily looking for an inexpensive alternative...

Well that sounds like good advice, except I'd like to actually know what kind of switch it is (3 way on-off-on toggle momentary on the "on") so that when I pull the whole nasty piece up I have a backup plan if the cleaning does not work. That Land Rover solution of "LAND ROVER LR3 SWITCH TERRAIN RESPONSE PROGRAM CONSOLE RIDE HEIGHT YUD501590WUX" is I think a reason many people give up, but I am determined to find an inexpensive workable solution, in the spirit of the original Land Rover owners... You know, the folks who originally got that great reputation in Africa?

World hunger is far too complex, there is no used assembly cheap enough (for me), and I have access to a large suppy of used Peterbilt tractor trailer and marine rocker switches so the only thing slowing me down is the will to get off my butt and do it, but heading out to Montana hopefully tomorrow, so it will have to wait. Hopefully, someone has done this replacement, evidently the air suspension control module wants to see a ground signal on either the "up" or the "down" input to react and it is apparently not seeing anything on the "down" lead. A Peterbilt solution is likely in order, but that might be a bit of overkill...
Hi all. I just joined today. Ive had my 2006 LR3 for about a year. it has had a suspension fault for a while. but I just had a chance to really diagnose it yet. The compressor turns on, usually for a bout 30 seconds to a minute depending. But I never got out of normal mode. In the past week, the message that says (suspension fault, normal mode only) came on as usual, but blink now while Im driving and disappears as soon as I stop. The toggle switch doesnt even work now (no lights). If I push it forward to extend, it just chimes, but no change or lights up. If I push it back the other way, it chimes but displays the normal mode message. It appears that it is sitting lower right now, unless its my imagination. I am getting an all system scan tool in a few weeks, but Im wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this. Is it a bad switch? I havnt checked the fuses yet, I just wanted to see if anyone has had anything similar. No red lights BTW.
The fact that your toggle switch registers you selecting extended mode and access height makes me think it is not the switch.
If the vehicle appears to be lower than it used too I would look for a leak. Other than that, you'll probably need to use a GAP tool to diagnose more without just throwing parts at it.

Its possible. Although I don't think the leak would be on any of the shocks. The front and rear appear to be level and this has only happened in the past few days, as far as the ride height. Is there a simple way to inflate the shocks manually? I'm strongly considering the coil conversion kit. If I'm gonna deal with head aches, Id rather it be mechanical. I'm gonna do a hard reset and see if that changes anything for the better. I have to save up for the scanner tool. Still, why is the fault message blinking??? That's new
On your ride height screen, does it show the vehicle as being level? There also are 3 valve blocks that distribute air to the shocks that I would check. There are also a few youtube videos on how to replace the o-rings in these valve blocks.
Unfortunately without a scan tool most of the diagnostic work involves just looking for leaks. When you get one though there should be an option to inflate the suspension manually with the GAP tool.
