I can get a race engine for less... thats rediculous. Even BA's price is way out of line for a used (possibly rebuilt?) engine.

Yeah, direct from the manufacturer is always stupid expensive. Ask the guy who got a quote of $57,000 for a new engine for his Mercedes R63.

Roverland Parts has some for a decent price usually, that's where I got mine. I'm still amazed by how clean it is.

When you received your replacement engine, was it complete, drop and plug and play or was it just the basic block and you had to swap everything else over from your old engine?

Also, was it rebuilt or just a low mileage with warranty? Thanx..

Yes it was complete (as in oil pan to intake, not accessories). It was just a low mileage, but they refurbish it to a minor degree. You can give them a call or take a look on their website, it details what they do and the warranty. It looked brand new.
