Default Well, cr@p - broke my shift lever...

So, in my desire to get the console apart and replace my ash tray and repair my aux plug (has a short), I followed the console removal instructions in the tech section (cool box install) and put my gear selector in neutral, pulled up on it and turned it clockwise, and it came off...

Not before there was a noticeable crunch of breaking plastic.

Gear selector goes back on fine, but now the handle swivels. Can I buy a replacement lever and just drop it back in and expect it to seat properly and not swivel?

Thanks all!

I guess you now realize you are not supposed to turn clockwise, only pull straight up?

Ive got a used one on ebay for $59. Pm me if you want to make a slightly lower offer...

Just realized - looking at my Ebay account - that I recently purchased a replacement console lid base from you!
