Sometimes, usually about 2-3 times/week. When the truck is put in to reverse to initiate backing the mirrors dip to help the driver see the road, but sometimes they do not return to where they belong! It's very annoying because I will be driving down the road and not realize that they are dipped and cannot see the road. A manual adjustment is then necessary.

Does anyone know anything about this problem? Is there an easy fix or should I bite the bullet and take it to the dealership for EXPENSIVE diagnosis?

If I turn my key off befor the mirrors have time to reset themself when I put my truck in park they will be locked in the reverse position. Causing me to have to readjust my mirrors.

 

I have a 05 LR3 and my mirrors will not dip when I reverse. I do have the setting engaged but it doesn't work. Is it possible the issue is a fuse? I do have a few fuses out.

 

then its possible it was repgmed and taken out from the ccf file at the dealer. We can repgm the system.

but to the guy with the 07 and the 05, put the vehicle in reverse, put the mirrors to where you want it and then press memory button and the number one button and then it will set the memory for the reverse mirror.

It should then come back up with no issues. if it still does take it to the dealer.
